Rapid Rehousing Case Managers

Status: Full Time Employee

Job Summary / Objective:

  • Providing an overview of the program to potential clients and conducting initial intakes for program participants.
  • Assisting clients in identifying appropriate and affordable rental housing units, as well as, brokering or linking clients with other community services, such as employment assistance, education, training, physical, mental, and/or chemical health services, transportation assistance or legal services.
  • Will assist clients with goal planning and conduct regular goal reviews, teach independent living skills, and assist in connecting clients with available community resources to help them achieve these goals.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as a social service provider.
  • 3 years' experience working with the homeless population or people with Substance abuse/Behavior Health Mental illness.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and skill is required
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Must demonstrate dependability, maturity and initiative; ability to handle crisis situation
  • Must have personal automobile, valid drivers’ license and automobile insurance.

Triage & Intake Specialist

Status: Full Time Employee

Job Summary / Objective: Key Responsibility is conducting initial intake and assessments for all clients to determine which DIC shelter and services client should be referred.

Requirements:

  • Master Degree in Social work (LISW preferred).
  • At least two years' experience with the Homeless, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Housing and/or Criminal Justice required.
  • Proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook and some experience with computer database programs.

Recovery Counselor /Case manager

Status: Full time position –may consider Contract Employee

Job Summary / Objective: Opportunity to work in a challenging environment with homeless adults in alcohol and drug (AOD) treatment. Responsibilities include: Completion of AOD assessments, identification of eligible participants, individual and group counseling and some case management duties. Eligible candidates must have good documentation and treatment planning skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have LCDC II or LCDC III or LSW as recognized by State of Ohio.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with homeless, alcohol/drug and mental health populations.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Homeless Individuals Partnership (HIP) Case Manager

Status: Full Time Employee

Job Summary / Objective: Responsible for providing intensive case management services to 15 clients in the adult emergency shelter system and those living on the street. Assist with goal planning, community referrals and greater overall client self sufficiency.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Social Work (LSW), BSW, CCDC.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Homeless, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Housing and/or Criminal Justice required.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Excellent written & strong communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License & automobile insurance.
  • Support the Drop Inn Center Mission.

Resident Aide

Status: On-Call / PRN Employee

Job Summary / Objective: Responsible for overall Resident care within the Shelter, ensuring that the physical and emotional needs of the Resident is met.

Essential Functions

  1. Greets all Residents and prospective Residents. Provides communication, information and supplies to residents as needed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to bed assignments, locker assignments etc.
  2. Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation of the Shelters and other Resident areas.
  3. Conducts security checks in and around the Shelter and related Resident areas.
  4. Assigns and supervises Resident service work and encourages Residents to fully participate in agency services.
  5. Holds Shelter residents accountable for upholding Shelter rules and expectations. Communicates any issues or concerns to Shelter Manager.
  6. Takes Resident attendance, maintains bed count and ensures Shelter capacity.
  7. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
  8. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the organization’s mission: "Drop Inn Center is a community of residents, staff and volunteers working together to provide basic human services for men and women experiencing homelessness with a primary commitment to shelter."

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience working with Homeless or special needs population preferred.
  • One (1) year customer service experience.
  • Ability to function effectively in an emergency situation.
  • Proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook and some experience with computer database programs.
  • Must be willing/able to work flexible hours, including day, night, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass drug test.
  • Driver’s License
