At the Drop Inn Center, our focus – our mission – is to provide homeless persons with adequate shelter, whenever they need it, day or night. But we take it one step further – working not only to help find permanent housing for those in need, but also the means to maintain it.
Eighteen transitional housing units are operated by the Drop Inn Center with on-site supportive services. These residences provide an important first step in helping a person transition from homelessness to permanent housing – average stay ranges from 6-24 months. During this time, Case Managers work to develop individual action plans that enhance each client’s life skills and best prepare him or her for obtaining – and maintaining – permanent housing.

Although the Drop Inn Center does not own or operate any permanent supportive housing, we work in partnership with community housing providers for the homeless throughout the Cincinnati area. A unique partnership with Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, allows the Drop Inn Center to access permanent supportive housing and provide case management and sobriety to over 50 clients in scattered site housing units.
